Short film competition

A short film competition has been organised in the framework of the project's philosophy to promote and support of contemporary forms of culture, create structures that will give the two countries the opportunity to organise together cultural activities and events and exchange cultural experiences and, of course, give the opportunity to artists, amateurs and professionals, coming from the eligible areas, to show and promote their work to a transnational audience.

The jury committee, consisted of the project managers Anna Trono, professor of the University of Salento, Chrysostomo Stylio, assistant professor of T.E.I. of Epirus, and Dr Athanasio Kakarounta, PSP’s Director of Strategic Planning & Development, the Director of the Academy of Arts of Lecce, Giancito Leone, the delegate of the Art Promotion Society, Alberto La Monica, and the prominent and globally well-known director, EDOARDO WINSPEARE, rewarded three films of the 45 that participated, two italian and one greek, in a ceremony that was held during the project’s final meeting on June 20th, 2008 in Lecce.

The prizes were awarded to the following films:

  1st prize: ERGO SUM

  2nd prize: ULTIMA SEDUTA

  3rd prize: GYNAIKES (Women) directed by Nassos Efstratiadis
